And here's why: the avs-editor. Where you can build your visual plugins and test them on the fly, it's awesome!

I found out about the avs-editor just as I was about to go to bed and stayed up till 3 in the morning just toying with it. And here are the results

The first one is just a bunch of standard effects thrown together and the second one is a 'remix' of an excisting one...
